Dr. Angela Pinkerton
Dr. Angela Pinkerton grew up in a small Kentucky town where basketball and horse racing were king. But her passion for science and working with children led her down a different path. She discovered her love for pediatric dentistry while observing a local pediatric dentist during her time at Transylvania University, where she earned her Bachelor’s in Biology. This pivotal moment sparked a lifelong passion for creating positive dental experiences for children. After earning her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry, Dr. Pinkerton joined the U.S. Navy, where she honed her skills and specialized in pediatric care.
Her military service included an Advanced Education in General Dentistry while stationed in Norfolk, Virginia, a Pediatric Dental Residency with Riley Whitcomb Children's Hospital while stationed in Indianapolis, Indiana, and two overseas tours in Okinawa and mainland Japan. The honor to serve during this career development time is one of Dr. Pinkerton's proudest accomplishments.
Now a board-certified pediatric dentist, Dr. Pinkerton is dedicated to providing compassionate and expert care to the children of Durango and the surrounding communities of the Four Corners. When she’s not in the office, Dr. Pinkerton enjoys travel trailer camping with her family, bargain hunting at TJ Maxx, and exploring the world through international travel. As a mother of five, she understands the importance of creating a nurturing environment for both kids and parents alike, and she’s proud to be part of a practice that puts families first.
