Dr. Edie Weststeyn’s journey to pediatric dentistry began in her hometown of Farmington, New Mexico, where she grew up on a small apple orchard just off Main Street. She has great memories of spending her summers playing in the Animas River and snowboarding down Purgatory Mountain in the winter. Encouraged by her parents to pursue higher education, Dr. Edie found her passion in dentistry after shadowing a dental hygienist and realizing it was the perfect blend of her love for science and helping others. She earned her Bachelor’s in Dental Hygiene from the University of New Mexico and worked as a dental hygienist for three years. However, her passion to do more for her patients inspired her to pursue her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Missouri Kansas City, followed by extensive pediatric training at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.

Today, as a board-certified pediatric dentist, Dr. Edie is dedicated to creating a warm, welcoming environment where children feel accepted and empowered to take care of their oral health. She takes pride in helping kids build confidence and develop healthy habits for a lifetime of smiles. Outside of the office, Dr. Edie loves to stay active by hiking, paddleboarding, and snowboarding. She also enjoys playing recreational volleyball and spending quality time with her husband, Justin, and their two young children, Bennett and Karman.
